Montreal, QC – May 7–20, 2025 – The Moneymaker Tour made history with its first-ever stop in Canada, bringing an action-packed poker festival to Playground Montreal. From May 7 to 20, players battled across 23 events with over $1.4 million in guarantees, highlighted by the $1,150 Main Event with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
“This was a milestone moment for the Moneymaker Tour,” said 2003 WSOP Main Event Champion and tour namesake Chris Moneymaker. “Playground has one of the best poker communities in the world, and it was incredible to finally bring the tour here.”

The Playground stop marked an exciting expansion for the Moneymaker Tour, adding Canada to its growing list of international destinations.
