Rob Kuhn Wins Caribbean Poker Series Main Event for $155,670
The Caribbean Poker Series Main Event has officially crowned its champion in Aruba, with Rob Kuhn taking down the title outright for $155,670.
Kuhn outlasted a field of 465 entries in the $1,700 Main Event, playing the tournament all the way through to a winner to secure the championship and the full first-place prize.
The Main Event began with a $400,000 guarantee and went on to generate a massive $697,500 prize pool, nearly $300,000 above the guarantee.
After three starting flights, 48 players returned for Day 2 with their sights set on the final table. The field continued to narrow throughout the day until nine players remained, with Kuhn among those advancing to play for the title.
Kuhn, an ACR Ambassador, entered the final table alongside fellow ACR Pro Michael Loncar. From there, play continued until Kuhn ultimately emerged as the last player standing, completing his run through the 465-entry field and securing the Main Event championship.
Francisco de Belaustegui finished runner-up for $102,325, while Pim van Wassenberg took third for $68,895. Loncar finished fourth for $47,540.
A total of 48 players finished in the money, with the complete Main Event results and payouts listed below.
